Leonard always wanted to be a fire fighter.

His dream became a reality in 1974 when he was hired by Ventura County Fire Department. He climbed the “ladder” to become a Captain, but his first love was being an Engineer. He also had a great time working with the hand crew and dozer operators.

Leonard was an inspiration to many, always encouraging others to reach their full potential. His life was full of adventure. He enjoyed waterskiing, building houses, riding horses, growing grapes but what he loved most was his family.
